Georgia Team Championship Event History

The Georgia Team Championship began in 1927 as an award presented to the GSGA member club with the two members with lowest 36-hole scores in the Georgia Amateur Championship. In the mid-1980s, a separate competition began, with clubs playing one another in matches at an agreed upon site. The current format, with the competition being held at one site, began in 1993. Each club's team consists of four male members.
